Are you in need of a Controls Engineer who is fast, efficient, and unlike many other companies, still believes in good customer service? My name is Brian Thornton and I have been working in the technical field since I was an Aerospace Ground Equipment mechanic in the United States Air Force. The Air Force gave me my well rounded foundation in a variety of systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, power generation, combustion engines, gas turbine engines, compressors, heaters, air conditioners, and many others; not to mention a large dosing of self motivation and personal drive. Since then, I have held jobs in a wide range of industries involving semiconductors, heavy equipment maintenance, and eventually a job with TRW Automotive. TRW introduced me to my passion for PLC programming. From 2002-2005 I worked as a Controls Engineer until my family and I decided to move back to Colorado. For a short time, I worked for Exel/DHL as their IT and AGV Engineering Manager (Automated Guided Vehicle) at the Coors distribution center in Golden, Colorado. In 2005 when Exel/DHL’s contract ended with Coors, I felt that it was time for me to fulfill my dream of starting my own company and return to my passion of PLC programming. As a result, Colorado Custom Controls was established and has now been in business since January 2007.
